My name is Liz Boyer. I retired from nursing after twenty-five years. After six years of golf, Mah Jongg, book club and some traveling before the dreaded pandemic hit, I hit the wall. Enough fun. Well, that is not the entire truth of my story. In 2020, I developed a condition known as Burning Mouth Syndrome. Very few people have ever heard of it, including my nursing colleagues. It is difficult to find a doctor to treat it. There is no cure. I just have to cope and manage with the use of some drugs that I prefer not to discuss here. Suffice it to say, it is hit and miss.
It helps to have a diversionary technique, so I decided to try my hand at writing. I have always wanted to write a book. Like most people, I did not know where to begin, so I just began. As I explained on my first page I hold a strong interest in missing persons cases.
I live in Coastal NC with my husband and the cutest little Maltese you have ever seen, Lexi.
We just lost our Gabby on 4/19/23 and before her Sophie passed 8/4/17.
